Half Black Belt Ceremony
The Half Black Belt Ceremony at W. Kim Taekwondo is a powerful milestone that represents dedication, perseverance, and the transition from advanced student to future Black Belt leader. Earning Half Black Belt is not simply about technique, it reflects consistent training, strong character, leadership growth, and the responsibility of becoming a role model in our school. This formal ceremony honors each candidate’s journey as they demonstrate advanced skills and are recognized in front of family, peers, and instructors. It is both a celebration of how far they have come and a reminder that the final stage toward Black Belt requires even greater focus, discipline, and commitment.
Self Defense Seminar
We are excited to host a powerful and detailed Self Defense Seminar at our main location (724 W. Euclid Ave. Palatine, IL 60067). This seminar is designed specifically for all Black Belts and 2nd Degree candidates who are ready to deepen their understanding of real world self defense and elevate their skills beyond traditional curriculum training.
This is not just practice. This is application.
At W. Kim Taekwondo, self defense is more than memorized techniques. It is awareness, control, timing, and leadership under pressure. This seminar will focus on strengthening those elements in a structured and safe training environment.
All- School Leadership Club Class
All School Leadership Class
W. Kim Taekwondo – In Partnership with Our Mount Prospect Location
Our All School Leadership Class brings together students from multiple W. Kim Taekwondo locations for a focused and elevated training experience. This session, hosted in collaboration with our Mount Prospect school, is designed to sharpen testing material, strengthen leadership skills, and raise the overall standard across our program.
Students will train alongside peers from another location, building unity, discipline, and team energy while refining forms, sparring drills, self defense, and technical precision in preparation for upcoming testing.
This day will also include Pretesting for 2nd Dan and Milestone Candidates. These students will be evaluated on technical accuracy, leadership presence, conditioning, and readiness for their next level. Pre testing ensures candidates clearly understand expectations and areas of improvement before their official testing date.
The All School Leadership Class is more than practice. It is an opportunity to train at a higher level, represent your school with pride, and grow as a leader within the W. Kim Taekwondo community.
