Winter TKD Run
Our Annual Winter Run is officially back! This run is for Leadership Club & High Ranks Only
This tradition helps strengthen our school community by encouraging teamwork, healthy habits, and shared memories outside the dojang.
The run will take place at W. Kim Taekwondo Mount Prospect – 741 W Golf Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
We can’t wait to see everyone bundle up, show their spirit, and kick off the winter season together!
The run is also kicking off our WINGS Pantry Drive.
W. Kim Taekwondo is proud to host our annual WINGS Pantry Drive, supporting families in need throughout our Illinois community. We invite all students, parents, and community members to participate by donating essential items that directly benefit the WINGS Program and the families they serve.
We are collecting:
Hygiene Products: toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, feminine products
Baby Items: diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, baby shampoo
Nonperishable Food: canned meals, pasta, rice, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables
Every donation helps make a meaningful impact. Please bring your donation to the run or at one of the W. Kim TKD schools.

Thanksgiving Break
There will be no classes on Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th in observance of the holiday.
We are so grateful for our students, families, and community who make W. Kim Taekwondo so special. May this holiday be filled with joy, rest, and time spent with loved ones.
Classes will resume on Saturday, November 29th.

High Belt Testing
This weekend, our advanced students will be taking on the challenge of High Belt Testing—an incredible accomplishment that reflects years of dedication, discipline, and perseverance.
Location: Station Middle School
High Belt Testing is not just another step, it’s a major achievement in each student’s martial arts journey. These students have shown outstanding commitment to their training and are pushing themselves to reach the next level.
We invite all families, friends, and fellow students to come out and show your encouragement. Your support makes this accomplishment even more meaningful for our testers as they demonstrate their skills, spirit, and determination.

Annual Trunk or Treat
Annual Halloween Taekwondo Trunk-or-Treat 🎃
Where: W. Kim Taekwondo Palatine North, 27 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60067 WE WILL BE IN THE BACK PARKING LOT
Join us for Trunk-or-Treating, face painting, games, raffles, and prizes! Kids will collect candy from decorated trunks. For safety, cars may not enter/exit once the event begins.
—> RSVP using this form to reserve your spot. Families are encouraged to host a decorated trunk—sign up on the form!
—> Costumes encouraged! Wear your best (family-appropriate) costume for a chance to win the costume contest.
—> Bring a friend! Non-WKTKD guests are welcome.

Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF) Walk

Parking: Parking is free along N. Simonds Dr., and a paid parking lot is located right across from our event venue.

When you arrive, please…Grab your flying butterfly at the butterfly tent (your butterfly is an interactive part of the Opening Ceremony)
Stop by the CHECK-IN tent IF
you need to register additional team/family members
you would like to drop off donations or make a donation
you are a team captain (to get your team captain button!)
and if your team raised $2,500, you will receive a exclusive sign for your team to walk with!
Stop by the T-SHIRT tent if you raised over $100
Visit our incredible sponsors (and grab swag & resources)
Dedicate a butterfly in honor of your loved one at the WHY WE WALK tent (You can bring and post photos and/or write a note to place on our giant walk bib.)
Play family games, including giant Jenga and Connect Four
Kids! Get your face painted!
